Voluntary Family Funeral Benefit

Arranging a funeral for a loved one is difficult and stressful and many families need additional financial assistance to pay for this. The Voluntary Family Funeral Benefit (Family Cover Policy) not only helps you pay for the funeral but also provides a Support Service giving you total peace of mind.

The policy has been amended for participating schools stating that it is compulsory for all members to join the scheme. New schools can opt in to this benefit at any time.

Once the school chooses to participate in the Scheme, it becomes compulsory for all employees in that school to join the scheme.

With effect from 1 March 2025, The Voluntary Funeral Benefit (Family Cover Policy) premium rate has been maintained at R20.65 per member per month and the benefit scale has increased to R28 400.
